VCA was founded in 1979 by members from the churches of Christ in the greater Flint area. The academy has grown into a respected institution of Christian education, with programs for preschool,elementary, middle school, and high school.

to lead students toward a knowledge that God is real, that His word is truth, and that His plan for one’s life is worthy of lifelong effort

to provide a superior education which stresses academic excellence and encourages students to pursue Christian higher education

to instill a sense of belonging and self-worth within each individual laying the groundwork for a successful and fulfilling life

to encourage the acceptance of others as equals and to appreciate their individuality and worth
